Nomura Horizontal Boring and Milling Machine

Nomura’s 4.33” HBM, the HBA-110TR3. This premier Japanese-built Boring Mill raises the bars of performance, reliability, and ease of operation for today’s Mechatroncs-Age machinists.

The HBA-110T R3’s X, Y, Z travels are 78” x 60” x 55”, the ( W axis ) spindle travels 19.7”. Its Full-CNC rotary table has a 55” x 63” working surface, a load capacity of 15,400 lbs., and scale feed-back, and is driven by, backlash-free, double-pinion worm gears. All major machine components are of high grade FC 300 cast iron. Each component, with rational rib and box-way designs, is engineered to provide maximum rigidity and vibration dampening characteristics. The Molybdenum-Steel alloy spindle undergoes more than 20 processes, from nitride hardening to super finishing, to ensure decades of use with minimal wear. The geared-head, two range, 5~4,000 rpm spindle, is driven by a high torque 25/30hp motor. Ballscrews and servo motors are over-sized. The Control Panel is ergonomic and its enhanced MPG simplifies part set-up. The HBA-110TR3 exceeds the toughest industrial standards in accuracy, rigidity, reliability, productivity, operability, and affordability.
